A micro tattoo is a very small, simple design — typically finished in about 30 minutes. Small does not mean casual: tiny pieces are unforgiving of wobble, so they get the same stencil, placement care and steady single-needle work as anything larger.
How small is too small
Ink spreads microscopically as it settles over the years, so detail packed into a tiny footprint eventually blurs together. The rule of thumb: the simpler the design, the smaller it can safely go. A clean symbol holds up; a detailed portrait the size of a dime does not.
