Before your appointment

How to Prepare for Your Cosmetic Tattoo Appointment

The 48 hours before your appointment genuinely affect how well pigment takes and how comfortably skin heals. Preparation is short, specific — and it comes from Fawn, for your exact service.

Fawn's full pre-care list is provided when you book, specific to the service you chose, and this page will carry it verbatim once it's confirmed for publication. We won't publish approximate medical guidance in its place.

What her pre-care list covers

So you know what to expect when it arrives with your booking confirmation, the list addresses:

  • Caffeine and alcohol in the day or two before your appointment
  • Blood-thinning medications and supplements — and when to talk to your prescriber first
  • Retinols, exfoliants and other active skincare near the treated area
  • Sun, tanning and freshly irritated skin
  • Health circumstances that mean rescheduling is the right call — including pregnancy and nursing, certain medications, and active skin conditions in the area
  • For lip work: cold-sore history and what to do about it before your appointment

If anything on that list raises a question about your own situation, ask before your appointment — “I wasn't sure, so I asked” has never once been the wrong move in this studio.

Ready when you are

Booking runs through GlossGenius — a card and a deposit hold your time, and Fawn reviews every request personally before it's confirmed.
